Last vin number for US spec C2's and C4's (they are commingled) should be 0456 and 0283 for cabs. Please let us know if the car has code M718 or not.

Also the number you posted for your transmission is incorrect.

Thanks Anthony. No M718. That info is from a Sucoast VIN decode that I got when I first got the car.

Before seeing this thread I was under the impression my 1990 C2 was one of the earliest produced 964 C2s for the US market. VIN ending on 0541, and production completion date of 10/11/1989 according to the CoA.

The person I bought the car from was the original owner and he told me the car sat on the lot for a year and a half before he bought it in July of 1991 (Carfax corroborates his story). These cars weren't exactly selling like hot cakes back then...

I recall a red America Roadster sitting in the window of the dealership on Kennedy Blvd well into 1996. Can't recall the name it has been gone for a long time. I also know of a mint green that sat for years and did not sell because of the color. How many would kill for that car now?

The only Porsche's barely selling was the 968 most of the 928GTS's sat for a long time as well. These cars were monstrously expensive. For $65k new today you can buy a lot of car.

Your car seems to be in the middle mine is 969.

This is interesting. Adrian uses number 1317 as the last US spec 90 coupe vin.

Can you post the vin plate or some verification that 1348 is the correct number? Its not that I don't believe you but there are issues with vin numbers we need to get addressed.

Anyone else with vins for 90 coupe above 1317?

The last four digits of my vin are #9074
It's number 74 of the 80 Canadian spec coupes produced (1990 was the only year they made Canadian Spec cars (according to streather's book))
It's a 1990 C4.

Please let me know if you see something I may need to know or if you figure out the mystery of the late vin #. My records show the first owner was in NY second in IN and I'm the 3rd <br/>Thanks

Looks like I am 1782. 1990 US C2 coupe. Is that strange? I can't seem to attach the photo of the sticker from my phone. Will keep trying.
