You guys realize that not having spark plug wire clips makes you lose like 20hp and $2 to $3k in resale value.

It's all fun and games until you burn through a plug wire on your exhaust manifold.

Unfortunately the CNC covers arrived a day after I had fitted the old covers. Fitting these new ones in their place required a new set of gaskets (I used flange sealant fitting the old ones) and I couldn't get them in time before the engine install.

Installing these is harder now the engine is in, but the first thing we need to do is verify the measurements against OE ones so are locating OE upper and lowers from a local OPC.

I have access to CNC Machines.

If you want to share the files I'll be glad to try them.

Thanks,

An update.

The intention was to fit the covers to my engine while it was out of the car. Unfortunately the CNC shop was a few days too late and I fitted the OEM covers.

Since then we haven't had the chance to fit them to test if they seal correctly etc.

The cost for machining the four covers was USD 560 and another USD 70 for materials. The machining cost would come down for production orders but they need to be tested first, plus optimized for tooling steps. I suspect it will be a while until we can take this forward.

Thanks for the interest.
