Replace bottom plate trunk
#16
The complete bottom plate will be replaced by an Original (OEM) plate!
Let's see. Materiaal €500,-. Leaves € 4500,- for work. With a hourly rare of €70,- the fix takes 65 hours.
.... WoW, that's 1,5 week.
Just curious, if one of your fenders has a little rust spot, easy to fix by welding a small piece of sheet metal, sand it and paint is this not an option?
You completely replace the fender?
In case you don't, what is the difference in spot repairing the bottom plate?

Three Wheelin'
The two scenarios are not the same. You've told us the plate has only surface rust, no pits or holes. Cutting it out is way OTT.
Next time you have the car on a 4 post lift please take some photos and post them up. If a smidge of surface rust under the battery is the largest concern then we'd just love to see the rest of it
