Rothsport vs. CAE Shifter
Embarking on a little project with my C2. I'll be removing the center console so fit isn't my concern.
I know both of these are highly rated.
Couple questions:
--for anyone who's driven both, which do you prefer?
--does the CAE come with all the needed rods and shift linkages?
--can the CAE use any of the rothsport linkages or does it need them?

No experience of the CAE shifter.
I had Rothsport with Fister Goldenrod & forward rod, OEM RS trans mounts, Wevo's & Gamroth RSR custom reinforcement.
Phenomenal.
(My 964 now in the caring hands of Mooty).

Damn you and mooty. A couple months ago I get to his house he throws me keys and we go hit the canyons, a month later 964 in my garage, and now checks are being written for its transformation.
I decided on the full gamroth kit, wevo engine, rennline trans. I played a bit with a cae uni, super nice, maybe if I go full race strip I get that.
What is this rsr custom thing you mention? Engine cross bar bracing?

Gamroth's shifter plus the golden rod is a stellar combination. But in my opinion the CAE is really the next level. If stock to Rothsport+GR is a 100% improvement, I'd say the Rothsport+GR to the CAE is another 50% on top of that.

fits 964, it's in my 964
it's really personal feel on the shfiter. i have both. CAE is more rifle bolt, but it's too short. you can't shift it as fast (for me at least). i also have CAE in GT3. i removed it as i actually like the sloppy oem better.
thats not to say CAE is bad, the machining is incredible and the feel is there. just a matter of if you like that feel.
