Flanges are smaller, if the box is installed in a narrow car. The WTL (C4 driven) is said to have big flanges in it`s G64 box...

Hi @koenig_roland - thanks - ok you mean the Turbo look thanks- are the drive shafts the same length (despite the CVS being smaller)?

I guess I'll have to do a test fit before I order the shafts .. they have the sexy RSR cooling fins

hi.
i meant the flanges at the box itself. The driveshaft in an WTL should be longer, but the flange at a WTL-G64 box should be (i was told it is and there are special flanges in the PET for the WTL) the G50 sized flanges... With those flanges in a G64 equiped narrow car, you should be able to drive the normal G50 driveshafts... I did some research in this dircetion when i had the problems with my car blowing driveshafts constantly... But i found an other solution for that issue :-)

ok seems the shaft is 100mm longer than the TIP shaft .. what was your solution @koenig_roland - Titanium or CF shafts ala @Robert Linton ??!!
I have new hollow shafts but they are not much lighter than the stock shafts (though they should be stronger/slightly more flexible) and there's some weight saving on the finning of the CV but not huge

making new side shafts for the C4 to 2 convertion car - seems splines might also be different (C4 is 43 on flange part inside box)
I'm pretty sure all flanges are 108mm since the 3.2L but you may be right, there might be a difference in splines count as well.
The only way to find out would be to ask a prts dealer to compare the two parts refs.

Anyway, replacing the shafts doesn't mean you have to replace the flanges, if they are the same diameter : 108mm
