Need to replace the rear lens on my C4 too.

I will order the same lens on ebay.

Keep us posted about the way to remove and seal the lens.
Thanks

Is the color in that pic accurate, ie are new lenses that pink? Maybe mine aren't as bad as I thought.

Just my 2p. Believe it or not, the originals were pink too - not red as most expect. When I replaced my centre-section lens years ago, I found that the original was lighter than the pink replacement. The red colour (color) is achieved by an internal red filter and the white (reversing lights) use a green filter. Some, I think the rear fogs, had a louvre as well.

Correct. These are the new and original centre reflectors I have side by side. Don't forget that these have a dark backing whereas the the side lens has none the way it's photographed.

Typically baking is the go to method by a lot of shops for a lot of headlight modifications these days. The trick is to seal it well, you can find endless posts about shops not using great sealant and headlights will fog up and catch water.

Of interest to 964 owners https://www.facebook.com/groups/3670...8524989966591/

I've given up posting pics on Rennlist for the moment. Too hard.

I baked the light for 17 minutes with no luck so ended up cracking the lens and removing it physically. Using plastic cement to fix it plus a light coating of silicon to keep it leak free

This way of replacing the lens would give you the ability to give it a redder tint so they appear to be slightly darker red Like a 993 light before you glue them in..

Yes, I was expecting to just have it fall off. Maybe I could have tried a hotter oven, but the reality is that the old lens is coming off one way or another and won't be reused so no harm done.

Yes, and expand that thought to all parts. Be happy you don't need gearbox work, as that opens up the wallet worse than trim and lights.

Just a note on Silicone. It must be neutral cure and polycarbonate safe.
