Duck

Was working last week when helping troubleshoot an issue with a friend`s 964 that has random stalling (now does not start at all).

Now it will not connect to the motronic on that car or mine. Still connects to the CCU.

Any ideas?

I also found slightly it unpredictable, I borrowed one and couldn't get it to connect to my car (a c4). When I returned it the owner tried it on his car (also a c4), it wouldn't connect to the Motronic (as usual - he thinks due to a tuned chip) but connected to everything else. Then we tried it on mine and it worked and connected to everything even motronic (tuned chip also)!?

wait 30 seconds- it should connect.
there was a thread on that somewhere way back when - i remember the first time I did a throttle adaptation - i was stumped -- and then I waited and it connected...
