Hey All,

Hoping to find some wisdom among the many great minds in here. After an oil change and tune up, my transmission is currently not responding in my 964 c2 tiptronic. Whenever I take it out for a drive, the engine doesn't leave 2nd gear. The transmission itself is fine, but the problem seems to be electrical.

Mechanic says he suspects it was due to a Viper Alarm system that's shorting. It was installed before I bought the car, but supposedly was wired incorrectly. Is there a particular fuse that may need replacing? Also, is there a simple key-less entry system you'd recommend? Thanks so much for any help or guidance you can provide.

if you have the Tore analyzer, I put that on it to see if there any fault codes.

I had a fault that locked the box in 3rd gear which turned out to be a faulty kickdown switch.
