The official Powerflex control arm bush fitting instructions, what there are of them, are rubbish. Nevertheless I managed to get there, almost. I think the rear bush flange orientation may be wrong. I think the wider flange side may go on the side with the mushroom head.

I also see that the Powerflex mushroom head doesn't have the **** to hold the head when tightening. I gather the flat on the end of the shaft is to stop the head rotating when tightening the bolt?

Can anyone who has done this before help?

Thanks, yes that does help. The flange is on the inside. I think I will do a DIY thread with all of the research info. Surely there must be something out there already, but if there is I can't find it for Powerflex.

The ones I used were not powerflex but its probably the same. Also isn't there like a tab on that metal insert that fits in a slot or something, seems like I remember that.

Yes there is. I think that's why the Powerflex shaft has flats for holding it, to achieve the same purpose I.e. Stop the shaft rotating whole being tightened.

My suspension overhaul thread covers all these points.

https://rennlist.com/forums/964-foru...-overhaul.html

Yes, you have the forward bushing inserted from the wrong side.

Yes, the Powerflex insert doesn't have a key to lock into the longitudinal member, but the longer shank protrudes out the nose of the bushing allowing you to hold the insert w/ a 19mm wrench in order to torque the lead fastener.

There aren't many ways the bushings will go in. I went with FVD, and they looked just like the PU bushings.
