Probably just about an inch behind the top of the back rest. Right now my boys heads rest on the back rest. They get just about at the top. So if this bar is set just slightly behind the top that should be good for at least a year or so. Worst case the strap on the there motorcross helmets and we are good to go.

If thats the Krause bar it wont work. It sits in front of the back seat. Thank you though for help. Its probably not doable at least not with a custom fabrication.

You could use the BR1010 guide bar and just remove it when your kids want to ride in the Porsche. Only takes about 10 mins to put it in.

That was my next thought. Ten minutes is doable. I'm going to go ahead and order one and see how it goes. Thank you for everyone's input.

Couldn't you just drill and mount a couple of eyelet onto what would be the parcel shelf above the engine and mount your harnesses there, then just uncool them when you have your boys in the back? Ive seen older 911 race cars with them mounted in this way.

Interesting. I'll run it by my shop. Worst case scenario I have a solid excuse for why I need to buy another 964/965...Its for the kids
