Default Steve Wong Chip for cat-delete question

Hi All,

Disclaimer: I've searched the forums and also emailed 911chips through their webform and received no response.

I currently have a Fabspeed cat-bypass, cup pipe and SW chip. The chip is the 'cat-bypass' chip (pn 964.91.EV.09 s/n 6224)

I'm not a fan of the smell as well as the exhaust staining from the car running rich (I assume). Before I go off and find a sport cat, I was wondering if there were any negative consequences for putting the stock cat back on AND leaving this model of SW Chip in.

Not sure if having the OEM cat installed with this model chip will cause the car to run lean or rich or whatever.

Can anyone here offer some learned advice. One the 911Chips people would be ideal! TIA.

I am running a cat delete, sw chip secondary delete and cold air filter...when I bought the chip I exchanged emails with Steve as I had not yet installed the cat bypass and the chip was for cat delete. He said there was no issue other than it not being at 100% capacity...I would be curious to hear of your thoughts on the sport cat as I also don't love the smell... Cheers!

SW chip and cat delete here too. No issues, car is purring like a kitten. Exhaust is clean.

Spoke to Steve about this stuff nice I'm on the fence about the cat but want to order a chip for sure. He said you'll get 80% of the performance benefits of you run Oem cat with bypass chip and the same vice versa.

I think you can also send it back and have it reprogrammed for $100 if you're concerned.

Thanks everyone. I guess the thing that makes me wonder is that the catted version of the chip is a different product number.

Yes!
I have the cat bypass/sport chip in. Can I put my OEM cat back on and leave the chip in?

I just ordered one. That is the most I am going to do for my engine after trying a supercharger and VEMS. Want to be mostly stock in case I sell the car. It is easy to switch out the chip if needed.

Should find a decent exhaust shop to make some. AUD$1000 for an imported sport cat is hardly worth it.
