Default 964 production line period photo request

Looking for period photos of the 964 production line. Just curious to see how these things were built back in the day...... Can't seem to be able to find much on the internet.
Does anybody have any they'd like to show?
Thanks in advance.

I've got a promotional film at home somewhere that shows the Porsche production line evolving. It has a few seconds of 964 line in there.

I believe I found it on youtube, so perhaps have a look there, or remind me in a week please through a PM.

That's really cool! At 2:53 you can see the tech using a chisel to pop the spot welds on a regular 964 chassis and then seam-welding it back together into an RS.

Thanks for sharing! That’s a great video but the Porsche guy was a bit rusty.

off topic to be sure, but THANKS for the video!
Though it's common knowledge, it's shockingly easy to see why they were going down the tubes in '92: all that 'touch time'!
There isn't a moment when someone's NOT tugging on some car's part. No automation.
Even the QA guy was leading the dimension-checking machine to its next step.
Truly not an exaggeration to call these cars (then) 'hand built'.

I still don't know the purpose of driving it into a gravel pile like that (or why Volkswagen did/does that as well). Maybe something to do with airbag deployment thresholds.

When I was there in '92-'93 they wouldn't let you carry cameras into the assembly area at either Weissach or Stuttgart-no such thing as a cell phone camera then either The assembly line consisted of technicians walking back and forth between the cars and boxes/shelves of parts and installing them at a snail's pace.

I agree with you.
Maybe because it's fun to do it?
