Default Looking for 964 Climate Control Unit

I am looking for a 964 single button climate control unit with good graphics. Anyone have one? My unit is chirping on low speeds and looking to replace.

Thanks,

Probably just needs a new fan on the back. Or just lube it: https://rennlist.com/forums/964-1989...y-ccu-fan.html

Default Still would prefer another unit

Yes it probably needs just a lube but figured if I am going to have a mechanic remove and either replace fan or lube might as well look for one with a better set of graphics on buttons if possible. The images have worn off on the defrost and recirculate. Thanks

i recall reading, somewhere, that the buttons are available separately, a 944 part number?
otherwise, it is 150-200 bucks for 50 cents worth of plastic buttons. : (
someone should be reproducing these buttons, in the age of the 3d printer.

Agreed. The bigger challenge is how to even get those buttons off if in fact someone was selling the buttons. Looks like you would have to remove the whole unit and then try and pry off. I read that the buttons I have that are worn (recirculate and defrost) are par of the switch and cannot be replaced.

If you do a search here on RL, you can find a lot of information on that subject. To remove the CCU takes about 3 min. or less, if you have the tools (can be bought at any automotive store). On a scale of 1-10, removing CCU and lubing fan is a 2, to do the buttons is more involved, but can be done. Will see if I can find some info.

HERE is a good one.

Frankly I think nice stickers would be a decent option because I have the same problem.

All the switches and buttons are available new if money is no option. Its not hard or not cheap to replace them all with new ones Right now on eBay if you search there are at least two complete ccu units on eBay that look pretty nice and in good shape. If they are fully functioning is another question you'd have to ask the seller.
I think there is someone online who refurbishes them too.
