Default Heater Hose under footwell replacement

What do you all here think about replacing of the paper membrane heater hose under the footwell with this silicone hose instead?

And does anyone know the diameter of the stock heater hose?

I purchased this from Pelican, and got the 320mm x 75mm. It was too short on both sides, and I would recommend going with 350mm for both sides.

I bought 3ft of the 3" black hose from aircraft spruce. 75mm=2.952". It was more than enough to do both sides.
