Default cat removal/install

Good morning,
I am looking to remove my factory cat and installing a cat bypass but could not find a thread with instructions
Anyone have a link to a good thread for this procedure?
TIA

Pretty straight forward. It's held on by 4 bolts to the heat exchanger and a single clamp to the primary muffler. In addition to removing those, you'll need to loosen the straps on the primary muffler to get enough play to get it out from between the two.

Thanks Vegas993! Like your car! Mine is also white and I have thought about Fuchs as well. Looks good!
Have you removed your cat? I have a G-pipe now and looking to free up some ponies.

Thanks, going through some changes at the moment. Can't wait to get her back in action.

Yes, I've RR'ed mine several times. It get's pretty fast once you've done it once. Depending on condition, you may want to get new mounting hardware, sometimes they are seized and snap.

did you wrap your cat bypass with header tape to block heat?

I did not. Since it is a bypass the temperature will be much lower than with a cat in place. Or at least that's what I read!

I had the Schnell version which retains the stock heat shields.
