Default g50 nose on a g64 transmission

I may have found a g50 gearbox to make my car a c2 in the future. Is it possible to change the front part of the gearbox from the g50 to my g64?

I ask this because the g50 flange to bolt it to the engine is broken.

thanks

Interested in seeing how you go about this. I think Ninemeister made a C4 into a C2. Seemed like a lot had to be done.

You can buy the front-end part from Porsche. costs new around $500

Part No.: 964.301.301.01 or 950.301.901.10

I think the OP is actually talking about the bell housing. Which is the same c4 vs c2 afaik the only differences are between early SMFW and DMFW cars.

It converts without issue.

Cuts both ways. You will need to but a Tailcone but the one you take off is equally rare and valuable. Should be close to a wash.

so there is a difference in gearbox between flywheels. I have an early 5th month of 89 c4. Are there any c2's with single mass flywheels?

The 964RS had a single mass flyhweel which has been a common upgrade for 964s for many years now.
