Other than the occasional 'USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION FU**TARD!' brigade, these forums are great. I check things out here every day.

I've only seen haters a couple of times. I'm a newer member but I appreciate the forum. About a year. Haters expose themselves for what they truly are very early. They are rare. Thankfully.

I've been on RL for five years or so and while I've seen the culture ebb and flow, it remains an amazing resource of positive people. I've noticed lots of new members who are really into their 964s and doing interesting and thoughtful mods. Yes, occasional douchebaggery occurs, but it's an exception. It's easy to say 'the old stuff was better, man', but I see lots of newer members keeping the 964 forum a good place.

If Adrian Streather contributed on RL again, I'd imagine he'd be very well embraced. His books are the authoritative resource on our cars and his presence would add tons of value. And sell books .

I love this forum. I'm on it all the time (I'm a web developer so I'm always online). It's a wealth of information and has a great knowledge base. So much different than most of the forums I've been on. Especially compared to the sport bike and supermoto forums I used to be on.

I think people on here are a bit more mature and not out to prove something. It's the first forum I was actually willing to have a paid membership. Well worth the investment to me and helps to keep out the riff raff I think.

+1 love this forum. Heaps of information, everyone is friendly. Best of all, they are not (or seem to be) snooty snobby types like on some other forums !

I've been here for a while, people come and people go, all part of the fabric of life.

Adrian was still very active on RL when I was new here in 2001. I remember getting the occasional reply from him when I posted a question about the inner workings of my C2. He always provided me with accurate and insightful information. I could never understand the people who insisted on getting into bitter arguments with him about some arcane detail of the Porsche 964. One thing I've learned in life: Most of the time, being right isn't nearly as important as being a good neighbour.

I hope he's enjoying life down under!
