Sorry to resurrect an older thread, but I was wondering ...

Are you suggesting:

1) Switch to sports cat (or do a cat bypass)

and

2) Remove the secondary muffler altogether?

---

If just a sports cat, would the removal of the secondary muffler be stinky like a cat delete?

Would bypassing either the primary or secondary mufflers result in stinkyness?

Shouldn't...strong fumes are mainly the cat

I have Fabspeed headers and exhaust on my race car and it makes sound at LRP (88 DB) and Palmer no problem. HP claims I can't attest to as the car is modified but system is much better than prior set up which
did not make sound at either track. On the Dyno it makes a couple more HP with the exhaust vs straight pipes.

As this thread has been revived I figured I'd chime in. There are a lot of various exhaust combinations for the air cooled Porsches and the 964 is no exception. Your individual goals in regards to sound and performance will dictate which combination will best meet your goals. If you are uncertain of what will best meet your goals, please feel free to reach out to me at anytime at 215 646 4945 (just ask for John Gaydos) and I would be happy to walk you through the different options so you can make an educated decision

I'm looking at buying the Fabspeed G-Pipe and new exhaust tip.

http://www.fabspeed.com/porsche-964-...ight-side-tip/

I could spend a little more for the Fabspeed muffler/tip which wouldn't be a bad route to go too.

We'll need to meet up sometime in the SF area to chat about our new cars.
