Refurbishing of wishbones
Hi All
I haven't been around this forum for ages and ages, feels like I'm a newbie ... Anyway, Some time ago I remember someone saying that they knew of a place that did rebushing of trailing arms (wishbones), I need to have my front ones done soon ... Any advice or help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Regards and best wishes!!

Dear Richard,
I have never heard of such a service. Wishbones need to be replaced. I remember seeing that someone is working on such a project but I do not recommend you becoming a test driver. The wishbone is a structural component.
Ciao,

Geoff Everett ex-AMD is working on it. Don't have a number to hand, but he's in Oxfordshire. I'll can get the number but not til the end of this week.
No worries about his work - he knows what he's doing.
I've also spoken to another engineer who has rebushed 964 wishbones, so it is possible
Cheers

Three options I'm aware of....
One) Replace with stock parts
Two) Replace with Carrera RS parts, with harder rubber bushings
Three) A performance option, install monoball cartridges in lieu of the rubber bushings.

Richard 92 C2,
I know of an Independant in the NW who is replacing the bushes in the wishbones but he wants more than the price of genuine replacement Porsche parts for the service. No brainer really, i'd go for new.
Cheers
