1 Attachment(s)
i have a 94 964 speedster, 57k miles, 3 owners......
contemplating the future....... |
Beautiful! I would hold on to it.
|
Look at valuation curves of other Speedster variants and make your choice.
|
If you enjoy driving it and do not need to sell then keep it!
|
Keep it one more year, and then decide... (go through the same routine every year)

Sell it. They aren't that big of an improvement over a cab. Sell it, buy a cab, then the cab will go up a bit, the speedster prices will fall, then sell your cab and buy back the speedster...you'll make money on both sides....

Lovely car! Do you drive it around Atlanta at all?
|
Your car looks pristine, keep it. BTW, can I have more pics of the houses? TIA
|
Just saw it listed on PCA website. Good luck with sale. You will regret selling....

964 market is strong. All variants are holding well.
The Speedster production being approx 930 will always have a decent resale market regardless of trends, however the 964 trend is still going strong and will most likely continue unless the economy tanks. The speedster is an interesting animal. It is a love it or hate it kinda car. The low rake windsheild and soft top has a sinister character compared to a cabrio windsheild and soft top. That appeal combined with low production numbers makes it interesting to most 911 folks. This will keep the values strong but I cannot see them skyrocketing any further in the short term IMO. The prices have been so high that not many people really consider them apart from collectors. It is a shame because they are really fun drivers. The bucket seats and RS door panels really make the car more business then other basic 964 models. I recently bought a 964 speedster as a driver. I had to pay alot, but the car is special enough to warrant the price tag and to continue warranting a decent price in the future when it comes time to resale. in north america you can expect to pay $150-250k depending on conditon and miles. |
