what do the springs in our distributor do?
is there some kind of advancing of spark (or retard) by way of the higher rpms causing the internal primary distributor to 'extend' out and 'retract' in idle rpm?
and if so why do these two springs exist in the primary distributor but not the secondary?
does it cause some kind of staggered twin spark where primary fires a little sooner (or later) than the secondary?
i was told it is difficult to find the correct springs for the distributor...
