It is amazing how many subtle changes were made over the years. I can barely use any of the small parts off my 90 on my 93 and my 94 is very different in many ways to my 93. I went to use the bulb from my 90's glove box in my 93 and you look at the plastic assembly from the outside they look identical but the bulbs are much smaller on the 93. The 94 has a completely different glove box from door to lights all used on the 993's and had a 993 part number. I can go on for a long time about the changes but when behind the wheel the cars are all very similar and you would never know there were differences unless you are trying to build one out of different MY cars.

You can pretty well count on feeling deep regret. Even if it makes financial sense.
