Singer vs. 3.6 turbo

Singer. Turbos are cool. But singers are wall-art that you can drive...fantastic balance...and they will always be unique and limited, cuz rob can only make so many and he can only sell very few at those prices. So I'll guess that when turbos are 400k, singers will be 900k on the auction block, and then when my kid is 45, and our generation of crazies that love these things is gone, turbos will be 30k and singers will be at least 70k....so really they will stand up well against the turbos!

One car can't do it all. For that money, I'd buy 5 regular 964s and let the projects begin!
Leave one totally stock, have fun with a cab, make a C4 rally monster, a focused C2 track car (caged), and build a very nice C2 street racer for the weekends.

One of each please, Siganl Green for the Turbo :-)
Regarding 3.6 964 Turbo's, 10 years ago a close friend of mine purchased an all black '94 3.6 Turbo with 7k miles from RPM in Houston for $80k ish. He kept the car for less than a year and got his money back, not that he needed it. Prior to putting up for sale he asked my opinion, I said keep it forever, you'll thank me.

Singers are a fad. I doubt they will appreciate like the 3.6T's are. I have to admit the 964 C2 is a more engaging car to drive but there is nothing as raw, visceral and seat of your pants exciting as a 3.6T. It is what the 930 wanted to be and drives like nothing else I have ever driven. I would love to have a singer but would never trade my 3.6T for one. Although I always wanted a 964 3.8RS but the swap would never be even. So I am building my own version it will be faster lighter and more fun to drive on the track but I doubt it will be as unique an experience.
I guess you know what my vote is.
