Did you get the Rothsport or the 993 one?

I'm not entirely convinced on that. In fact, I can't figure out why they ever added the brace. There is a rumor that it was to get rid of a groan when turning the wheel at low speed. None of the race cars prior to the '96 993 used it, as far as I'm aware. Ever hear of anyone cracking a steering rack mount? Me either. Could be wrong, but no reason to add an extra 1lb to the nose.

Resurrecting this thread again:

I want to change by myself my worn steering rack bushing, unbolting the steering rack are there alignment problems? Do I have to unbolt one side per time or both together?
Thanks in advance

No. Just take the old ones out and put the new ones in. A little dishwashing liquid will help if it's tight getting in there. I replaced mine with poly bushings (you can find them on eBay). I like them better than oem. And also not a bad idea to add a rothsport rack brace as well, though for fitment, it's tight and you need to move the lines on the passenger side up a bit. Just pop them out of their holder above the rack.

I really want to add rothsport rack brace but i'm a little afraid to move the lines. Is it easy? Can I do it without disassebling the line? I've a 1990 C2.
Do you have a picture?
thanks

If you have a c2 the lines shouldn't be an issue. It's the c4 that you have to move the line a little to get it to fit.

Isn't that from a c4? Anyway, it's possible on both. From what I've read you just slightly bend the lines a little to make some space. Nothing major.
