What did you do to or with your 964 today?
 

I want to start a thread where we can post a quick update on what we did to or with our 964. This should be fun! Let's hear what you did.

Starting off, I swapped out my Sparco steering wheel on my track beast for a "momo mod.07". I had a mod.07 in my white 964 and loved it, so it is about time I got another one.

I ordered tie rods and a set of brake pads from paragon last night after someone posted the garage sale. 39 dollars each for the tie rods was a steal...many thanks to the op and paragon...good stuff

Haven't done any work on it in a while...so these are up next...

Last weekend and this weekend....I replaced my steering rack with a 993 refurbished rack and new tie rod ends.

I installed Chris Walrod control arm bushings. I replaced the front sway bar bushings and installed new drop links.

I dropped the car off the floor jacks tonight to put weight on all the suspension parts and then I am going to torque everything up tomorrow.

Taped off the rear window to see if that's where the water leak is coming from. All signs point to the window. Now the $10,000 question--do I do a glass-out repaint now or not.

I would! Might as well do the respray when the window(s) are out and replace all the seals. Next winter I'm planning to do a full respray and color swap - orange.

let it continue to sit in storage.

Ordered some 993 door handles of flea bay :)

My original plan for the year was to do some fun performance mods rather than cosmetic. Of course, if you want to fund the paint, then I could do both. :thumbsup:

I went out to the garage where it's just above freezing, looked at my car, turned around and walked back to the house. :banghead: I hate winter

Went out to garage and stared at her wishing it wasn't 5 degrees with a 14 below windchill, so I could start working on my new project. I did however, do some research and ordered some parts.

nothing since I won't be getting my car back from the shop until late February.

I submitted my application for Collector Plates. :jumper:

This Konig will be replaced with a nice Recaro SPG

Then I started to clean up the interior. the carpet is not as good in shape as I had hoped so it must be replaced. A bunch of Rennline items will go in for a clean look. I will either clean or stain all the white leather pieces black.

Finally, I started to remove some old stickers I care less about. This is no longer a race car but instead a DE beast. Needs to look clean! Next year I'm going for a full respray, most likely orange with black details.

That's it for today.

Today the latest in the neverending refurb.... finish the replacement fuel line install (old one was rusted through), new bushes for the shifter, rear ARB upgrade to C2, and started the electric power steering pump install for the conversion. Thought it would be difficult but it has been straightforward so far.

May finally get the car finished this month! Once done I will post up a thread with all the work :) .

I tried to replace my timing chain tensioner cap seal. Came out to find it was full of crud and the cap was heavily pitted. No way that piece can seal anymore...so I found a new used one from DC Automotive. Porsche wanted $180 for one!

Anyone had that happen to them?
