Tdiquattro,

What are the differences between the cup pipe and your diy? Sound profile? I'm intrigued.

Hi, it was too loud and boomy with the cup pipe and empty final box, bit too subaru for me, now it has a nice medium loud sound level and has the air cooled background sound of the engine. No change in performance as the box is straight through, if anything it feels quicker.

It will also help me with local track sound limits

Handbrake shoes, new clutch slave cylinder and rubber hose, full hydraulic bleed including being sprayed in the face with brake fluid... Erh!

Started buying parts for my wide body conversion. Just picked up this front bumper! So stoked!

Broke the shift linkage as I got to the work parking lot... then had her towed to my mechanic.

The shifting was feeling stiffer and stiffer... I should've stopped driving.

And not use the redline gearbox oil. Mobil1 stuff original going in from now on.

Front bumper off, doing a thorough clean down there. Also finalizing the fitting of the hard top (it's been a really long time coming; been driving with it on, but sans the side gaskets and a perfect fit).

Also planning on pulling out the last of the parts for the convertible top from the area behind the front seats. Think the transmissions/motors.

^ Check the fan resistors on the a/c condenser and the oil cooler while you have the bumper off.

That's an 8 hour job, including the wash if you go three steps. Done it many times, but get it done now.

Popped my new door cards in. Had the bins done in black basket weave. Had a bit of trouble on the color for the cards, but ended up with high quality leather. The colors are a bit off and I'm at a loss for a solution. Perhaps a deep burgundy dye for both the seats and door cards will get done eventually.

For now, I plan to drive. KWV3 gets installed in a couple of weeks...
