This car has been on and off the market for nearly two years at different dealers. Fabulous car but not easy to drive and as always with RUF cars, many more wanters than buyers. Personally, I am a huge fan of RUF vin cars, have owned a few and they are simply incredible.

Why did Ruf build these widebody the original yellowbird had stock NB front flairs and a custom rear that was in between the turbo and NB cars with 255's in the rear. Surprised this car would do 200 with all the extra drag.

That's not a "yellow bird"...the original yellowbird was built from a 1987 3.2 carrera not 964. I'm not even sure that's a CTR as the CTR was only for the "yellowbird". The 964 version of ruf's cars is called the RCT although if I recall the RCT and RCT EVO were built from narrow body 964s

Thanks Forget that.
Who knows why they call these Yellow birds when the narrow body CTR was the original speed setter. Is it because of the engine? They used the narrow body with slightly extended rears to reduce drag and apparently the naca ducts in the rear created issues so they sealed them up as in the car first pictured. This car originally had the naca ducts which were filled and seams filled with lead. I was told that this is the car in the magazine but I am sure only a few know the truth.
Now we have the 964 based CTR which clearly is a RUF and at the same time why would they install the naca ducts and use the widebody if they were an issue. Looks like a nice car for the money though. I like the interior not black but much darker than classic gray.
