This Porsche it is actually unique. Only 2 Porsche 993 Twin-Turbo Extremo were built by the company Gemballa; one for the tire company Fulda in black and one for the Saudi King Fahd. The vehicle belonging to Fulda is not for sale and therefore this is the only Porsche 993 Gemballa Extremo available on the market. Fulda commissioned this Porsche for its Extremo range of tyres. In a promotional event in Dubai, the Saudi king saw this car and wanted to buy it. Since it was not for sale Gemballa built one for him. The price in 1997 was 1 million German Marks.

With a seamless service history, Gemballa wrote the following on specific service intervals for his vehicle: little service every 10,000 km, major service every 20,000km.

Only rarely does a vehicle reflect the spirit of the times in the early 1990s with more zeitgeist than the stylish and exclusive Strosek Mega Speedster.

The internationally renowned industrial designer Vittorio Strosek - under whose management the company Strosek between 1982 and 2004 probably had the widest range of aerodynamic options for Porsche sports cars. He devoted his work especially to perfecting the vehicle design. He usually left engine optimization or tuning in the conventional sense to other vendors. The organic design and sleek Mega Speedster was not only the signature of his teacher Luigi Colani, but underlined the pleasing Porsche curves so skillfully that the remarkable growth in vehicle width hardly catches the eye. The overall composition of the car are much more powerful than the original product, without detraction.

According to the statements of the former secretariat of the Strosek plant, they were based on the Porsche 964 Speedster. A total of 15 factory "Mega Speedsters" were produced - exactly the same number as 964 Speedster Turbo-look units left the factory at Zuffenhausen.

Especially to the distinguished elite of the "dot-com millionaires" of Silicon Valley the Strosek Mega Speedster was a brilliant and sought-after eccentricity among Porsche exotics.

This is also confirmed by the sales figures. According to the former Strosek importer for the US market, the racing team owner Fred Opert, a total of eight Strosek Mega Speedster on the basis of the 964 Speedster were imported into the USA - more than half of the total production. Each vehicle was different, individually adjusted each to the unique requirements of its illustrious clientele.

These vehicles' story is suitable for a cinematic Hollywood script with an all-star cast: The Strosek Mega Speedster 3.8, the so-called "California Car".

The history of this vehicle, which between 1993 and 2014 lived exclusively in California, is strongly interwoven with at least four other US Strosek Mega Speedster and shows in what segment of society layer these rare vehicles call home.
