Default Fan belt tensioner in UK

Does anyone know where i can obtain the correct fan belt tension gauge in the UK? I need to replace mine as the sensor has disintegrated and almost completely destroyed it. I don't even trust to drive to my usual specialist so will attempt the change myself. I have done a number of diys before and this seems quite simple if i can just get this correct tool.
Thanks
Steve

Steve,

If you're talking about the little black wheel that rides on the belt, don't worry about it.

You can safely drive the car to your mech. It only warns you when the belt snaps... and that would be a lot of coincidence. I wouldn't hesitate doing this as long as I'm not running a very old belt.

Thanks for the answer and i do intend to tie the sensor back until i can find a new one, but it is the tension gauge tool i am trying to buy, e.g krickit (or something like that) but i can only find on us websites. Similar looking ones on uk ebay are the wrong tension range. My belt is already severely damaged by the broken sensor so i want to replace it before i drive any further.

Just to be clear, Gelignite is looking for the Gates 91107 belt tension tool. Like this from Amazon USA

Ok... I got a bit confused what the issue was.

I don't have the tool and tighten very loosely and the belts often squeal on humid days. Then I remove 1 shim and we are good.

Normally a 1/4" to 1/2" deflection under moderate pressure is fine.
Around 1cm deflection is what I have now with my method of tightening.

If you are still concerned, have it checked by the mech after you did a belt replacement DIY.

It's a pretty easy project if you have the tripple square tool 10mm (may be in your tool kit) and a 24 or 22mm wrench I think.

My mech put me onto that technique since he doesn't like overly tight belts. Not good on the bearings.

Thanks for the advice and i would certainly agree loose is better than too tight, at least until i can get it checked properly. I think i have found a supplier of a very similar gauge in the uk from a bearings supplier, but first i do need to get the tripple square and i know where i can get that. Parts on order from local Porsche centre, which i always find extremely helpful and the manager of that department seems to really enjoy supplying parts for the older models.
