My car has developed a loud rattle (like a screw bouncing around) that comes from half way along the C pillar on the drivers side… I.e just above the rear window, roughly half way along. I’ve sat in the back and that is definitely where the noise is coming from. Annoyingly it is thus pretty close to my right ear and never fails to drive me nuts.

Problem is that the headlining is in the way so can’t see how I can resolve this without removing it and thus damaging it. Anyone else had this problem??
I was thinking of injecting some expanding foam in there but am worried it will push back out of the holes in the headlining and make an almighty mess..

when i heard this noise, it was the part were the door closes, doorlock? It happens a lot that the screws break.

Thanks but as I said it comes from the C pillar not the door or lock. 3 different people have been in the back of the car and listened while driving. It is coming from the pillar.

Some loose part at the back of the sun roof mechanism...assuming you have one??
