New to me 1990 911 C2 5spd
Waiting for my plate to arrive. This forum was a big help this summer when I came across the car. Porsche experience is 2 Boxster S & currently 2012 Cayman R. Thus this is all new to me. Need tires, so thought I would go with 17" Fikse
Profil 8 frt 91/2 rear. Will 17" be ok for a '90 w/o modifications ? Tire size 225 45
17 & 255/40/17, not sure of offsets 55 F & R ? Will check car next week for distributor vent kit. Have some Mobil One 0-40. Not sure if suitable for 964. Car is bone stock except radio. OEM radio included.
Thanks in advance for your response

Congrats on the car! Gotta post some pics.
Oil choice is extremely personal around here, but I believe 0W-40 sounds a bit thin to me. Search for oil threads, there are many, and you'll get a feel for the right oil for your 964.

No pictures yet as waiting for SC plate. I spend 1/2 year south of Bflo & the other in SC. Friend, in Bflo mentioned a tenant of his may sell his 1990 c2 manual black burgandy interior SR 43,000 miles in heated storage last 4 years. Well maintained,
clutch, flywheel, alternator, brake pads replaced in last 10 years. Valve adj etc @
15,000 & 30,000 miles. He bot it from his business partner in 1993. Paid 28m, just lucky, a "barn" find. Bone stock except for radio, have the original.
As I have owned 2 Boxster S & currently a 2012 Cayman R, which I will keep for track days, this forum is invaluable as a 25 year old 911 is so new to me.
Besides tires & 17" wheels which I mentioned in original post, have to check on distributor vent tube kit, then just drive it for a while.
