I can't speak for baby seats, but for toddlers this booster fits perfectly. Buy at the Volvo dealership.

I wonder if they make a toddler seat with the correct footprint for our cars, whether the baby seats they make have the same footprint...very narrow in the back of the seat.
Anyway, I have posted this before, but I keep tossing it in, cuz the deal was when I bought my car, since it was to be my only car, that I could buy it if I found a booster that fit and that she approved. And this one made the cut.

With all pre 996 911's there are issues with child seats.
For seat covering 9 months to 4 years, with integral harnesses, the seat buckle is too long and in some cases too far forward.
Some parents think the seat is fitted, but this is probably wrong. The seat must be a ver tight fit, if there is any movement the child's safety is at risk.
For children of 3 years, the Maxi Cosi Rodi booster seat with a removable back rest is a great option, but it uses the cars seat belt to hold the child and the seat in place.
Under 3 years, it's far more difficult.
For those that have recommended seats for this age range, please re-check your seats any be sure that they are fitted according to the manufacturers instructions and that there is no forwarded side ways and tipping movement, if there is, it's not correctly fitted.

Really, I do believe you, but I've specialised in child seats and the fitting of them for 30 years and have worked with UK safety authorities running safety checks and that's what most parents thought!
Over several years, of checks 75 - 80% of all child seats were incorrectly fitted.
Quite often the seat appears the fitted correctly, but the buckle head is in contact with the child seat frame. This is called buckle crunch.
In the event of an accident, the load smashes the buckle, it fails and the child seat is now unsafe and the child will suffer injury.
This is why ISO fix was introduced.
With 911's and I'm including 996 / 997's there is no option to have ISO fix, therefore it's not so easy to find something that really fits correctly and is truly safe.
I'm not saying your child seat isn't safe, I'm suggesting you double check it's safe.
Let's see some photos of how it's fitted, where the buckle sits on the seat frame etc etc, then maybe we can be sure it's safe.

Impeccable tact.
