Starter just clicks on first try
All,
Strange thing going on with my '91 Cab. After sitting for a few days or so, at my first attempt to start I get just one click at the starter, nothing else. The next turn of the key cranks just fine. Every time. I replaced the starter with a Bosch re-man two years ago. My battery is about 5 years old, but kept on a maintainer.
Anybody else experienced this?
Thanks in advance.

Are the connections clean/awesome at the battery, ground strap in frunk, and at the starter? The ground strap at the battery or engine can go bad inside the insulation, too...

What is your battery voltage with the ignition off and disconnected from the charger? It may be time for a new battery. I would also check how clean your battery and starter connections are. Remember to clean both at the body and the battery & starter.
