starting a 964 project:)
Looking for comments, advice and tips so I can change the plan if needed. Starting point is a 91 tip without an engine, rear window, rear lights and rear bumper (suffered an engine fire).
Basic plan:
Welded roll cage and seam welding
993 engine without varioram engine (on hand) and 6 speed tranny (still looking but might get from LA dismantlers)
JRZ RS Pro coilovers, Tarret sway bars and monoballs
GT Racing lexan rear quarters, window, brake duct, side mirror and rear bumper
Magnus outlaw 2 pcs wheel (17x8 et 45 and 17x9.5 et 40) Is this the correct size and offset for narrow body? Tires will be Neovas 225 45 and 255 40.
Oem 996 cup gt3 steering wheel
Recaro pole position seats and schroth profi 2
Rennline trak mats, knee bolster delete, cut off kit and fire extinguisher
Need suggestions on front brake kits or upgrades? Would you guys know if from brakes from 996 4S will fit? Do we need to change master cylinder?
Is the oil cooler size sufficient for 993 engine?
Hope to share the build and learn from you guys along the way. Thanks.
