mystery CCU fuse mod?
The previous owner had this 30A in-line fuse installed in the frunk fuse box. It appears to be in the CCU circuit because with the fuse pulled no fans work. I rewired an in-line fuse because the old one had melted but was still working!
Why was this installed, was this part of a TSB or the heater blower resistor recall?

I guess this is an easy (and very dirty) fix of a damaged fuse 1 holder. The two front blowers are feeded from fuse 1, and a corroded or loose fuse holder will heat up very quickly due to the high current.

ToreB, spot on as usual! Thank you. With the black electrical tape it had become invisible to me. Wife calls it male-pattern blindness, can't see anything right in front of my face.
So because this circuit keeps frying fuses, I guess I'll have to start looking at the fan motors. I also see stock was 25A not 30. Was it uprated by Porsche? I'll go back to 25A for now.
Anyway to repair/replace the stock fuse 1 holder?
