15mm on the front

you can probably get away without spacers for the rear. Or use a 7mm spacers to bring out the wheels to sit more flush with fender. 255 tires for the rear

Front works,

for the rear, you will need 5mm spacers. (47mm effective offset). 47mm offset is the sweet spot for 10" wheels

I had almost same setup in the past. ran 285 tires on the rear. it was with stock ride height tho. if lowered, I would just run 265 all day without problem.

Thanks for that. My current wheels I think are Cup1 reps. They have JIL (I think) stamped (kind of reverse stamped the letters are lifted), how much lighter would proper Porsche Cup1s likely weigh than these ? Which are the ones I'm questioning.

How much difference to the handling would the spacers make ?

The "JWL" (Japan Light Wheel Alloy) stamp is a compilation of standards defined by the Japanese Government to ensure the vehicle's safety for aluminum road wheels. Every wheel put to their market must be tested to meet JWL standards before a wheel can be put out to market in Japan and it's for this reason the wheels will have this stamped on them. It's not a manufacturers mark.

This set of wheels won't work on a 964 then because they'll stick out too far correct?

8 x 17 fronts with 9 x 17 rears
Offset Fronts : 30.4
Offset Rear : 17.7

Correct, those will stick out way too far. It's always better to have high offset numbers and ad spacers.

As a general guide look for front ET50+ and rear ET47+

I've looked and found so many varying opinions I am a bit lost as to suitable fitment for 18" BBS LM. RS ride height, moderate camber. I'm not interested in rolling the fenders.

I've heard LM099 (18 x 8.5 ET6) and LM144 (18 x 10 ET50) work. Is there truth in this? I'd imagine LM 141 (18 x 8 ET 50) and LM 142 (18 x 9.5 ET 55) would be a better fitment?

Are there other LM fitment options are there to be had? And I mean 'had' not the rare as rocking horse poo wheels

Front ET6? Rears will work fine, although your want a small 5mm shim to bring em out a bit more.

These work fine also although you may want to add spacers to fill out the arches.

Not better, both seem fine. Just depends on your preference for wider wheels.
