Hi, couple questions:
1) My ashtray is actually missing. Can the adapter you made for the ashtray be made to work in the slot that area if the ashtray is gone? I have a blank spot there now.

2) Can you make the mount compatible with one of these type of ball mounts:

I would then be able to choose an adjustable cradle to attach.

Let me know if either is possible and what the cost would be!

Hi , my holder is made to use in the ashtray with the inner tray removed . but the rest (door) must still be there.

#2 I could be possible. it would require a custom design and access to that mount

Keep it in my pocket or wedge it on the pass seat between the seams. Why junk up the dash?

John recently 3D printed out his ashtray mounted cell phone holder for my 993 that fits my iPhone perfectly, and it's terrific.

I might be sourcing an ashtray.. how much do you think you could fabricate a mount for if I sent you the ball joint + the style dock I would be using with it?

I really don't want to tell my wife I'm buying a 3d printer to create a cell phone mount

LOL I don't blame you it is hard enough hiding the Porsche parts from the wife.

I do the ashtray mounts for $50 . if you want to send me the ball joint style dock I would not charge you to do design a mount for it to work with the Ashtray mount.
just for the $50 for the Ashtray insert.

Are you still doing these phone mounts?
I have a 993 C4S and would like to mount my phone at the right hand end of the dash.
I like the look of your RH endcap mount. I have a One Plus 3T phone, but if you don't make a holder for it, I'm sure I could adapt one to attach to your bracket.
Hope you still do them.

How does that even work? Does it just get wedged into the rubber seal around the clock? Would that not damage the seal after time. Simple though.

@Danny Goldman I gave up trying the ashtray mount and went with the Rennline Magnetic Mount. It actually worked out better than I anticipated on my 993 and I have never looked back. In fact, I also got one for my 996 GT3 and it also works great.
