Default FAULTY NEW O2 SENSOR

The old one tested a 6 to 15 mV(instead of 1V=1000 mV)
i struggled to take the old one out ,but eventually managed
i put the new one and and.... tested at 3 m,4 ,5 mV !!!
I thought it was my tester, changed tester ,same reading
i took the o2 sensor and tested it in a vice ,with a blow torch
Again same reading to start with and then ...ZERO !
Do you have an idea about what happened ? faulty sensor ? is it common ?
it is a Bosch pone ,looks exactly the same as the old one
I bought it from
http://www.carparts4less.co.uk/
Via ebay
I'll obviously speak to them next week ,after bank holiday ,but your input ,as always ,would be appreciated
