On a more serious note: I am also planning to do a holiday trip in our 964 C4 Convertible. We are worried however that luggage space is not sufficient as we plan to take our tent and (light) camping gear.
Any ideas on how to increase luggage space, and no I don't want a trailer...

Well, you can certainly consider one of those decklid racks like on the old 356 tubs!??

Seriously, with a cabrio, you cannot have a roof rack...so I'm afraid it's not the best model to go on a vacation in.

SO, other than bungee-cording a suitcase to your rear spoiler...I dunno what you could do.

There's actually quite a bit of room (assuming there's no passengers in the rear). If the roof is up & staying uo until you unload, then there's the area where the roof collapses into. If roof is down (and staying down) then you've got plenty of space to stack as high as you want!

There's as much space as a coupe nearly; it's amazing how much you can get in if you try hard enough! (door pockets, glove box, etc)

Thanks for all the responses. Should I change the DME relay anyway or is it a part that works or does not. Thanks

i love gadgets!!!

i was introduced to g.p.s for my boat and believe me i tried them all.
you could spend $1000 on talking garmin which tells you where to bo but i found a magellan map unit for about $200. i take it every where. i does not only show you accurate speed but also ave and e.t.a times and distance left to go.

i plan my trip with differnet target points(waypoints) and it helps by breaking up the trip in small incriments.
having just done a 1750 mile trip alone ask me how i know.

if any one needs advise i will be glad to help.

cheers

B.T.W: You guys have not got a clue what crime is go and visit south-africa and try and drive a nice car with doors unlocked and windows open.

PoorscheC2, you would be well advised to take a trailer so that you have somewhere to put all the things you need to take with you. Make sure you have a spare for the trailer.

Edit: Oops, this has been said already. Damn that John.
