Default Rear Bumper Support Tube

I've been struggling to figure out the part numbers for the rear bumper support tubes.
My 1989 C4 has four support tubes. (2 per side)

Passenger Side Support Tubes

As you can see, part #12 is discontinued.

However in the current catalog they appear to show only a single support tube on each side.

Item #19

Did this support tube supercede the old one. and if so why didn't Porsche show it as superceded.

Can you use one of these later support tubes on an '89 C4?

It looks to me like it’s 11 and 12 in the first exploded view. Same parts for both sides.

What I don't understand is they don't seem to show 11 & 12 anymore in the catalog, as per the final picture,
They are just gone. All they show now is that #19.

So I'm not sure if 19 replaces 11 & 12, and if there was anything else required for its mounting points to the bumper sides.

Usually when they replace a part, they say it in the catalog,

I did find another thread on here that indicated there was a change to these brackets in 1990.

I don't know if the parts are interchangeable as I only know the later version (mine is a 1991). Attached two crappy pictures so you can compare the mounting points.

Thank you for the pictures.
In the last picture it almost looks like there is a second bracket back there going to the bottom of the bumper?

I thought part #22 was for turbo look / widebody only? Its listed as a 965 part number?

In the Porsche parts catalogue, it's not widebody-specific. Otherwise there would be a respective remark in the right column:

There was a TSB issued to rework the original supports to the newer version pictured above by uli1266 The ones you have were weak and caused cracking of the bumper covers over time. 19 and 22 are correct. The turbo used the 19 in (19) vs the 19 which is what you want 964 P/N the rears are all the same Not sure why they have a left and right P/N you can use the offset hole on either side.
