Here's a low mileage original C2 that's STILL for sale @ $67K. http://www.excellence-mag.com/classi...4#.V9N5oztqe-8 ... also priced to sit IMHO.

Consistent with what I have heard as well. Know someone that looked at it and it was not as described . Also refused a ppi from a close by shop. Reason it has not sold....

Just goes to show how deceptive sales of these cars can be lately.
When you read that write-up, you get the impression it is in phenom shape AND he adds "Collector Quality" - which to me means it is in even BETTER shape than Concours Quality. Any car can enter Concours & maybe even win a trophy or two when there is no competition,... but "Collector"??
That is just a shame when one guy like that is helping to ruin the market perceptions.

Actually wasn't talking about your car. But yours provide another data point. For the record, I was talking about the San Diego car being price appropriately, not the holt car.

Hey fellas, I can say without hesitation, that my Guards Red C2 questioned above is one of, if not the cleanest 964's currently available in the country at this time and I stand behind that statement. My father and I warmly welcome anyone fellow RL'er to the shop anytime to inspect the cars or just hang and talk about rear biased automobiles.

Holt has good cars. Expensive. But good.

I've only been to Holt once, but they are local to me. I was really impressed with the quality of the cars in their showroom. If anyone wants a set of eyes on something in their inventory, I drive by them almost every week for work. Always happy for an excuse to stop in.

Thanks for the kind words guys. We really appreciate it. As you all know finding top quality cars is not easy and we can only accept the best of the best since our name stands behind it. I know MANY of the previous cars mentioned in this thread....we have quite a network. Things are not always what they seem. Again and as always any RL'er, Pelican, PCA member is always more than welcome to my shop. I have some hidden gems for you 964 guys.

I have a lead on a 1991 C4 Coupe, manual trans, black on black, 118k miles in San Diego. There looks to be some rust on the windshield cowl and strange rubbing on the door to the body, which means it was in an accident right? The owner is asking $36k. PM me for details.

Bought my `87 Targa from Tim & Tim. It's still the only car I've ever bought that didn't have any needs. It's been terrific, trouble free and by far my favorite car I've ever owned. Well worth the modest Holt premium.
