Steering wheel fitment question
Folks,
I'm having trouble getting a steering wheel for my 964 (1990 MY)
I have a wheel with the part number 964 347 084 00 which is correct according to PET.
However it won't fit all the way on to the column. It leaves a gap.
My column looks like this, is it standard?
I obviously need a wheel with a larger spline but what would the part number be?
Does anyone have a wheel for sale that will fit?
Cheers
Jon

Any ideas anyone? Is it possible my car had a airbag originally? Or perhaps the switch gear / cowling is for an airbag steering wheel and fitting different ones would close the gap?

What wheel did you take off? Was it from a 993 or 996? If so, I think the spline for those wheels is different, so someone may have changed it in order to make it fit?

Ok problem solved. The previous owner had fitted a new column switch unit and pushed it too far down the column. Once I adjusted the position of that all is good
On the plus side another wheel I bought whilst trying to sort this out turned out to be the small diameter 363mm wheel, so now I have a choice of wheels whilst still retaining the stock look.
