Mmmm
The same happened to me a few years ago due to track days/ sticky tyres! I stripped and rebuilt gearbox after finding a second hand one. Where are you and have you tried your local dismantlers?
Simon.

Some (one?) guy in another thread on this used a place called Cog's Cogs.

Did one crosspin work it's way out?

Was it the "typical" failure of the captured crosspin?

Ouch! Welcome to the club! That makes about six I have heard of (including my own a few years back). I bought a used box off ebay and had it rebuilt with new synchros, awd clutches and got the planet gear pins 'peened' (???) which apparently solves the issue. I was told that the part is £1200 (back ordered from the factory)
I feel your pain, good luck finding a solution. Let us know how you get on, really crappy design for an otherwise strong system...

Im really hurt$$$! As soon they open the distributor and confirm it was the planetary gear start calling every place The best option was Roger from California Motorsport he found me a second hand for 900.00 (ouuchhh) all others one to sell me the complete transmission. Also Steve Weiner from rennsportsystem help me a lot but he doesn't have it available.
What Im worried is about the welding I show Steve and Roger the welding options here on the forum and they don't recommend me welding because it alters the heat treatment and temper of the parent metal. I went to my local machine shop and he said to put some stainless steel points on the pins will help and wont affect the gear.

I can only speak from personal experience but I welded a crack in mine and it has done 10,000 miles with multiple track days on sticky tyres since then. It could go at any time, like an old part used hard, but it is not yet a weak link.

Anybody have an estimate of the cost to check the planetary gear? Since I have the engine and transmission out for engine rebuild, wondering if I have it checked. Thanks.
