sparkplugs--more than one Bosch that will work?
I am going to (for the first time) change the plugs . . . so I went down to my local auto supplier, who wanted to sell me 6 (yes, 6!) plugs--and a brand I had never heard of. Obviously he had no clue--I told him I needed 12, and he asked why. At that moment it was bye-bye.
Meanwhile, what is the going word on plugs for our 964s? I am pretty sure that at the moment I have Bosch--is there more than one model of Bosch we can use?
Bosch Spark Plug 99917018390?
Thanks . . .

. . . after a bit of searching, found this in another thread, partially answering my own query:
"The factory plugs are not performace plugs, but anti fouling plugs. There are better options.
Denso irridium .4mm electrode
NGK irridium .7mm electrode
NGK irridium .7mm electrode (JIC length)
Denso double platnum 1mm electrode
Champion racing nickel 2.5mm
NGK replacement plug triple ground strap
Bosch replacement plug triple ground strap
Beru replacement plug triple ground strap

What would be recommended for daily driver use?

The Bosch FR5DTC plugs are what you use. Don't mess with it. Not going to do any better. Order then up online. Forget who is cheapest. I like Vertex on the east coast so they get here faster. I have a feeling they come from World-pac one town over as they arrive next day supposedly from Fl.

I had also read Geoffrey's comments (quoted above) and ended up going w/ the Denso 5310 Iridium plug when I redid ignition wires and other stuff a couple of months ago. The car is running good, but I can't tell you it's running any better or worse than if I had installed new OEM-style plugs.

For the record,...factory plugs were/are specifically designed and intended for one thing; long life (for emissions compliance). NONE of these things will foul unless there are serious resident issues with fuel injectors, caps, rotors, wires, etc.
There are different heat range choices to consider and this depends a lot on the operating conditions. Race & track cars need colder plugs and street cars need the stock ones. Using a too-cold plug for general purposes simply reduces fuel economy and sometimes driveability.
The FR5DTC is a good choice.
