If your rent a car, do it with Europcar, they have many locations including Charles De Gaule. They have Audi A2, A3s, BMW 120... Golf MK7 but don't speed, France is full of speed cameras.

I'm from Paris...and beware BEWARE: Parisians can't park for ****, they will do your front and back bumper without giving a damn. If you are lucky, one of them might even explain to you that that's what bumper were designed for.

You'll have the joy to take your 64 to the body shop after that trip!

actually , Parisien "daily drivers" are just angry, often exhausted and often in a hurry ...
not a good combination for our cars ...

that's why you better walk by foot , bus , or take come cab - even if it's a bit more expensive ....
