I've already inquired about it. It's got a deposit on it currently, but I'm waiting to hear back in case something doesn't go through. From what I've heard, the main things needed are tires and clutch adjustment.

I think a couple of the tires (Eagle ZR50 & 55) are original - if not, they were very early replacements.

I'd say it should be a good bit higher.

Race Car
Honestly, I'd rather buy a car that has been driven and maintained than one that more or less sat in a garage for 25 years. I agree low mileage is a nice to have, to some degree, but if I bought the car it wouldn't remain a low mileage car and along the way i would likely spend another 15k replacing everything that died from sitting and from age and lack of use. All the rubber, bushings, seals, shocks, bearings in places yu didn't know there were bearings will be gone just from the grease getting hard sitting there....
So for me...just my opinion since I wouldn't buy a car I couldn't drive, I'd buy a 50-80k car that has impeccable service records or even a 150k car from the right person....before spending a premium to get low mileage. Cuz it'd be a 50-80k car in short order anyway...
All that said. Maybe this owner actually took care of his car he didn't drive. And maybe it's the worlds best 89....maybe...

Having been in a couple 964s over the years, I can say mileage doesn't really count. I've been in "low mileage" 964s that didn't seem fast or that smooth, some even looked a bit ratty given the low mileage. I've also spent time in cars that are driven a lot, and was shocked to see how nice they looked and drove.
I understand the allure of a low mileage car, but for those out there looking at cars with 100K+ miles, don't worry it's only getting warmed up. I'm at 150K+, and don't see much difference in the way my car looks or drives compared to a 50K car.

The car looks nice, and the low mileage is not really hurting it, but I don't think the price on that car can be properly assessed w/o knowledge of the service history and the condition of the greasy parts. It would not be hard to drop $10K or a lot worse if things have not been properly looked after.

Hard to say i know of a 91 C2 with similar miles sell in the low $40's recently but it was a perfect car. I drove by JD the other day and it caught my eye but never stopped in.
