My potential buy backed out, and ended up buying something a bit more rare.. and out of sienfelds collection. So now I'm keeping her for sure, and tang means winter project time.

Seat centers, door cards and gauges will be redone. I have a fairly good idea of what I want to do (no clue where this pic comes from). I will most likely do a Mexico blue tach face and something with the needle colors on the others. One is delaminating and another has a crack so it's long overdue.

I'm also hungry for more power. My friends e30 will be making 400+hp so I have to keep up.
3 options as I see it
ITBs : hp/$ ratio is garbage. But that sound..
Turbo: huge money, huge power. Talking with my engine builder he kicked around 40k for a custom biturbo solution with water to air intercooling.
Supercharger: reasonable cost/$, but not a very "Porsche" solution. Looked at tpc racings supercharger. I can't seem to find any new info on it, and most of the threads I've found are fs ads. Not terribly confidence inspiring. But if their dyno numbers are accurate, it's tough to ignore

14th annual cape run today, this year raising money for a local guy who just had a double lung transplant.. amazing that he's up and about after only 3 weeks.
Big turnout with a nice cross section of cars. Amazingly I didn't have the oldest car as a really clean 76 SC was there.

car looks great as does the checker interior

... personally I wouldn't consider the supercharger (having driven one)
or turbos (being a convinced NA'er) and having little real interest in straight line stuff

seeing you've got the new engine maybe just add the motec & ITBs
Many here have had great returns from the ITBs and
of course taking the lightweight route #dumpthepump

In hibernation for the winter. My brothers new workshop is so big my car 2 motorcycles and his wrangler all fit in 1 of the 3 bays. I parked sideways as it was about 15 inches too short to park them nose to tail. Plus the closest outlet was on that side of the wall. Perfect for the battery tender.

big day yesterday. Broke my car out of hibernation. Started on the first try and there wasn't a single drop of oil underneath it. Even my tire pressure was pretty close. Took the back roads from Stowe Ma to Boston making for a nice first drive of the season. First dog of the season- Aerosmith "back in the saddle" just seemed appropriate. Feels good to have it back in the garage, but now my jeep is pulling street parking duty. Jokes on everyone else though. New Steel bumpers will mess their cars up if they hit me!

Next up.. bike. Painting it Porsche steel gray. Should be done in a few weeks

BecauSe everyone likes posts more when there are pictures..

I had a local photographer ask to shoot my car. Finally had time to meet up. We shot all around boston's black falcon pier which is only a mile or so from my house, so that was super convenient. He has a few hundred pics to go through, but sent me this one as a teaser

Nice shot, love the car. What is the next project? You can't actually just drive the car for an extended period of time without doing something to it.............

Hi Jjm4life. First off, I have to say what an impressive build story you have. It wasn't straighforward but in the end, it all worked out for you.

I have bookmarked this thread that you started quite a while ago and only got to readnit ALL last night and man, what a read it was!

This is my first ever post, though been a member since 2015. Your build inspires me keep on looking for my own 964. It will be my first Porsche and really look forward to owning one. I drive a BMW non M car at the moment. It's probably the last NA inline six with hydraulic steering, it's enough to whet my car appetite but the itch to get into a Porsche is ever so strong. Thanks for being an inspiration to a newbie like me!

Hopefully I'll see you in your car driving around when I finally move back to NE in the summer.

Hey thanks I'm happy you enjoyed the read. Going back there's a lot more written than there are pics. Unfortunate.
If you're in Boston shoot me a PM.
