My car isn't so clean. The plan is to respray it, that's hiw RWB came up. I love the look, but I keep getting hung up on the all show no go aspect. I love those cars, but I'm having a harder time justifying the performance v look than the price. And yea, it's 20k, plus wheels, plus paint work
Odds are im gonna stay narrow bodied. Ultimately I'll build a itb'd 3.8, but even then 3xxhp just can't justify 12' wide wheels. Was good to talk to them about the process ect. Gonna sleep on it

Can't wait to see what you end up deciding. the RWB does look great on the 964. 12' wide is pretty darn wide.

No rwb for me. Decided in ten years it might not be what I want, and there's no turning back. Plus I have no intention of ever going with forced induction so there's no chance that it will ever make the hp to justify the 325 rear tires.
Respray is still coming. Waiting for the go ahead to drop it off. In the meantime the leather Porsche crest horn button showed up today for my protipo. My PD momo will be up for sale as soon as I get around to swapping wheels

Glad you decided on keeping it NB. Although I love the look, your reasons for not going RWB is exactly why I wouldn't neither. Plus the fact that I don't have the coin to do it! lol Nice horn button btw. Very smart looking. Did you get it from the guy over on PP?

Dropping her off for a glass out respray tomorrow as long as this winter storm doesn't hit before I make it out.

The plan:

Glass out
All new gaskets and trim
New tail lights.. Anyone know where to get a ruf center reflector? Can't seem to get a hold of anyone at the UK distributor
Rust repair under the front left corner of the windsheild
New front and rear glass. 993 seals front rear and quarter windows with 911 rear glass ( no 3rd brake light)
Aero mirrors
Euro RS bumper center section
De badge decklid

On the table..
Fender work
Aero treatment for the a pillar section of the rain gutters
Front License plate recess filled
"Big reds" color change.. Mexico blue or acid green?

My e88s are also off being rebuilt and customized by David at butzi gear in CT. Current idea is to do a gray scale look kinda like the porsche crest I got from th "summer special" deal a few months back. Gray lips with a darker finish on the face, black barrels and hardware.

after reading your thread, I have to say I'm impressed with everything you had to go through. Keep up the good work!

when I bought my RUF lip I got it from Michael Melville at RUF USA, you can call him at 248-304-9091 they may have what you are looking for.

^^Thanks for the lead

Impending doomsday snow storm has messed up timing at the body shop. The fiat whose space i was taking was supposed to be picked up today, isn't. So no room for mine until that's gone.

I can't wait to see this finished, it looks pretty awesome the way it sits.

Nice thing about starting with a black car is that you can basically colour change it and the inner bonnet and engine bay can stay black...... or are you just respraying black?

I wish I had an update. betwen 65 inches of snow in the past 16 days and work, my car hasn't made it to the body shop yet. Hoping I can catch a break in the weather tomorrow..

Finally a break in the weather. Dropped off my car with a bunch of goodies.. Ruf a pillar aero treatment, 993 aero mirrors, 911 windshield ( bye bye third brake light) and a euro RS bumper center section. Should be torn down in the next few days.

Body shop saw the prototipo sitting in the car and decided to swap it over for me. Looks right at home.
