Your Ducktail Wing Mod
John: Thanks for the step by step instructions, including good photos. I like it. If you had the tail prepped and painted by a body shop, can you remember the cost? I want one badly. Thank you. Charles. (smith40)

The cost to me was 6 hours labour plus materials plus tax. All up it was NZD 800 (GBP 400 or USD 655) for prep, painting and fitting. For a while I ran with just the white gel coat, but I didn't want to get a lot of oil etc in the pin holes so ran a few weeks only before getting it done.
They only buffed my other panels as my general paint isn't pristine and I will do a full repaint when I give up track work. May be a while away

John - pardon my ignorance, but does this fit correctly? Looks like it isn't quite flush?
I have been tossing up doing this for a year now and like you, have seen the Rennspeed one at a good price. I also have seen straton ones advertised on Pelican at DOUBLE the price. When I asked why they are double price, the response I got was 'they just fit'. Maybe the duck (in the picture above) is supposed to fit like that, but I was just wondering?

Bad timing you mean? I flew into Wagga Wagga and just got to watch the end. Now in Orange for the week. Driving the Mountain was fun though Bathurst Toyota RAV4 - YouTube I have only seen one Porsche. You are a select group over here!

My Stratton ducktail fits like the pics above. I think the big advantage (and the reason for the price) is that it's built on an original metal decklid pan, meaning that 1. it fits right and 2. the fit doesn't change as the car heats up/cools down. I like mine a lot!

Car looks great!
I want the Rennspeed fiberglass one that's made to bolt directly to the 964 without any adapters.
Anyone find any aftermarket grill options? I've seen a few, but can't figure out were they came from. Something other than the traditional looking grills.
