Ah, individual bodies with a common plenum of sorts.

Does anyone make a bolt on solution? Who is making these custom plenums? Or is this all new engine control management as well.

It doesn't get any better in the latest 911!

The Singer plenum is the GT3 plenum like on Kai's car, except Singer removes all the unused factory mounting points and adds the Porsche text along the sides.

Ugh, that 991 bay is the worst I've ever seen. I think with the 991, the 928 really did replace the 911 eventually... I think there are two types of Porsche follower/driver now: 1: 993 and everything before it types, when the cars were over engineered and had soul, 2: 996 onwards, with Cayennes, Caymans, etc. where the world of plastic and clips took over.

Maybe we should start engine bay improvement thread/DIY? Steps to improve the engine bay appearance like removing the rear fan blower, change/remove sound pad, etc.

I had seen videos of a Porsche tech replacing the air filter on the new 991, but didn't realize that was what the engine looked like... wow.

I personally am a fan of my engine bay. I do have to say I admire the VW/Audi crowd and their shaved bays, tucked wires and what not. Really clean, but personally quite happy with the sound my engine makes and in the end that and the power is all that matters!

Back on topic. Couldn't disagree more with the original post. Unconventional? Yes. Ugly? No.
That same layout carried over to the 1995 993, it changed for the varioram cars. Embrace the uniqueness! Appreciate it for what it is!
BTW your detailing job came out great!

It's always been the first thing I do, when I see a great car, lift the bonnet, take a look at the engine.
These days engine bays are sterile, full of plastic, nothing to look at.
I think a flat 6 with ITB's is a good look.
Std Engine nothing much to look at,
Water cooled, nothing to look at at all, really disappointing.
On of my favourites is the Alfa 3.2 V6.

Problem solved!

On a side note the Singer has AC which doesn't look bad . I really like how they ran the lines.

Where can I get a replacement heater duct above the fan shroud that has no ducting like seen on Kai's car and on the Singer car?
